The GIR-3000 Explosion-Proof Gas Monitor provides continuous detection of CO2, CO, N2O and Hydrocarbon gases (LNG, LPG, CH4, C4H10) in explosion hazardous areas. Users can modify detector operation using the LCD without ever needing to open the unit. This enables one-man, non-intrusive operation and reduces maintenance time and costs.
With the ability to easily configure into existing installs with other manufacturers’ detectors, the GIR-3000 comes equipped with analog and digital protocols. Output along is 4-20mA whie digital output is 2mA. Using an infrared sensor, the response time for the device is less than six seconds.
The measurement principle is a magnetic balance type electromagnetic method, allowing for auto-calibration and program setting with a magnet bar. The instrument can be mounted on the wall, duct, or 2-foot pole. The display is a backlit LCD letting the user easily read levels and other data. The conduit connection is a standard PF ¾”, but has four other options to choose from: NPT ½”, NPT ¾”, M20 x 1.5P, or M25 x 1.5P. The GIR-3000 has an operating temperature of -40°F to 176°F and weighs at 6.6 pounds.
