Bump Check Reminder
In the interests of improved user accountability and better policy enforcement, all Single Gas Clip models include the bump check reminder feature. When turned on, if — after a designated period of time — the detector hasn’t been subjected to a bump test, the instrument will flash and display “buP” across its screen, indicating to a user or manager that a bump test is due. As a further reminder, the TEST icon will be visible in the displays upper left hand corner. If you find the flash annoying, you can have it disabled anytime you like using the IR Link software.
Programmable Unique 6-Digit ID
One of the problems with portable gas detectors is that any serial numbers, markers, or stickers it has are liable to be rubbed off or marked up in such a way that they’re completely illegible. This makes it impossible to identify the instrument when necessary. The SGC, however, offers a simple solution by making all instruments identifiable with the push of a button. Each unit can be identified however you like by using any combination of letters and numbers. You can choose an employee’s ID number, the last four digits of their Social Security Number, or a specific job title or code. This same unique ID will also appear in bump test logs as well as event log reports, making it easy to follow each detector’s data as it’s recorded.
Adjustable Alarm Set Points
Health and gas exposure safety requirements are subject to change at any time, so it’s important that you have equipment that can adapt. The Single Gas Clip makes it easy to adjust the alarm set points using the IR Link software or via the SGC Dock. It’s also possible to order detectors with custom alarm set points.
