Multi Gas Clip Simple Dock

The Gas Clip Technologies MGC Simple Dock is an all-in-one stand-alone docking station designed for maximum testing efficiency and portability. It tests up to four units simultaneously, reducing the testing time and gas usage. With only two buttons, it’s simple to train workers how to use it for regular bump tests, occasional calibrations, or to deactivate detectors. It can be optionally housed in a rugged case or a wall-mountable metal enclosure. Logs are stored on a USB flash drive which can easily be transferred to a computer for analysis.

Each Dock comes with the following standard features:

  • Test 4 units at one time, up to 12 instruments in a minute
  • Easy 1 button operation
  • Robust rechargeable internal battery, up to 1500 tests before recharging
  • Internal gas cylinder regulator and pressure gauge
  • USB flash memory for bump test and event log storage
  • Optional unit configuration and firmware updates via GCT Manager Software
  • Rugged case or Wall Mount Dock case
  • No computer required to operate

MGC Simple Dock Quick Start Guide

Unit Configuration/Firmware Updates
We’ve enabled the MGC Pump Dock to program each unit while in the process of either calibration or bump testing, so that all of your gas detectors remain compliant with the desired settings. The fields which can now be programmed include: User ID, Self-Test Interval, Calibration Interval, Bump Interval, Low and High Alarm, Show Sensor Readings, Hide Clock and Hide Bump Due LED. For instance, if you need each detector on your site to have its own alarm set points and a bump test interval, you won’t have to go through the process of programming each detector individually. Instead, using the GCT Manager Software, everything can be programmed as a group while also bump testing (4 units at a time per MGC Pump Dock). This also makes it possible to update units during bump testing and calibration every time there’s a firmware update by merely programming the MGC Pump Dock to do so, enabling you to achieve the desired facility safety standards for each of your single gas detectors.

Event Data and Record Storage
The MGC Pump Dock moves beyond performing tests, unit configurations and firmware updates. It’s also capable of storing valuable data regarding the docking station and units tested. With each bump test and calibration event, the information is saved and logged by date and time, as well as serial number — all of which can be accessed either by USB directly or via the GCT Manager software. Concurrent with each test, the detector communicates its event log to the memory, so each individual event log is saved, as are the test records. In fact, the station’s default setting enables it to store the 10 previous event logs, enhancing your monitoring capabilities.

Prefer a wall mount for your MGC Simple Dock? Gas Clip Technologies offers a slim cabinet style case which can be wall mounted, so it won’t have to remain in its portable case. Available in a high pressure version as well, it’s an ideal choice for facilities and office environments where portability isn’t required.

Gas Clip Technologies GCT Manager software gives you the freedom to program the MGC Simple Dock (whether portable or wall mounted) using either a USB memory stick or an IR Link. The IR Link will be necessary if you want to interface with your MGC Simple Dock via infrared. Using the GCT Manager Software by means of the IR Link, the following programmable features are available when communicating with the MGC Pump Dock or Wall Mount MGC Pump Dock:

  • Docking Station Location
  • Number of Event Logs
  • Station Test Logs
  • Individual Instrument Logs
  • Auto Power-Off Time
  • Gas Cylinder Concentration
  • Gas Cylinder Lot Number
  • Gas Cylinder Expiration Date
  • Feature Administration Controls
  • Inventory Report
  • All IR Link Software
